Apparel Training and Design Centre, with over 200 centres spread over 23 states, 86 cities and 150 districts Pan-India, is the largest Quality Vocational Training Provider for training of skilled workforce for shop-floor and junior to middle level technical professionals for different tiers of Apparel Manufacturing Companies. ATDC has been nominated and selected as a Nodal agency of Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, since Oct, 2010 and has been integral part of the training education institute of AEPC since 1991 which is sponsored by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. ATDC has trained about 2, 50,000 candidates from Oct, 2010 till date under ISDS of MoT, GoI, and under the long term AVIs courses ATDC have trained approx. 1 lakh candidates from inception.
ATDC’s Vocational Training Programs are meant for underprivileged youth and women of society and are based on the concept “Imparting Skills –Improving Lives”. ATDC’s short term (300 hrs.) training programs are meant for shop floor employment as factory workforce (Tailors / Sewing Machine Operator / Checker/Helper etc.) and long term courses (4 to 12 months) are for 8th/10th/12th pass youths for more different tiers of manufacturing line, Inline Supervisor, Asst. Production Manager, Line Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Quality Controller, Production Assistant etc. The programs have strong Industry employment linkage and help to improve the living standards of underprivileged youths and their families. Each person trained would help a family of 3-5 members to improve “Quality of Life”, which has a cascading impact on quality of lives of the underprivileged sections of the society.
ATDC provides training in ‘simulated’ factory state-of-art environment through industrial sewing machines of world class technology from world’s best technology provider. We have over 6000 such machines and training is provided by technically qualified, experienced and trained faculty members (over 600) Pan-India.
The training is totally different from domestic sewing machines as here the emphasis is on assembly line production, productivity, efficiency etc. The backend of ATDC is over 8800 member exporters of Apparel Export Promotion Council who constantly seek trained workforce and professionals for their ongoing operations, attrition replacement and for new capacities created.
ATDC has initiated signing MOUs with various state governments viz., Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala & Tamilnadu to impart vocational skill training in apparel Industry. During the decade long association, ATDC has trained over 250000 candidates and we may inform with a sense of satisfaction that around 60% of the trainees have been gainfully employed in Apparel Sector and the rest have also found employment in informal sector/self-help groups etc.
Currently, ATDC has 18 training centres in M.P. with Chhindwara, Bhopal & Indore as Hubs monitoring training at Chhindwara, Amarwara, Parasia, Tamia, Jabalpur, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Maheshwar, Hoshangabad, Sehore, Dewas, Khandwa, Ratlam, Shahpura, etc.
ATDC Chhindwara inaugurated in the year of Jan-2008 at Near Tribal Museum, Chakkar Road, Chhindwara by the hands of Shri Kamalnath Ji (Hon’ble Chief Minister of M.P. at present)
Presently we are functioning at our own campus of 5 Acre land at Near Imlikheda Chowk, Opp Air Strip, Betul Road, Chhindwara having well equipped infrastructure.
